Nebraska Governor’s Pheasant Hunt
The 2026 dates for the hunt will be November 6th and 7th
The Nebraska Governor’s Pheasant Hunt is a two-day excursion held in Gage County, Nebraska, featuring a classic pheasant hunt and a sporting clay shoot. Teams compete with the goal of capturing the coveted Grand Champion trophy.
Since its inception in 2015, the annual Governor’s Hunt has warmly welcomed local, national, and international hunters. Past participants have traveled from Gage County as well as New York, Texas, Florida, and across Nebraska. The event has also proudly hosted cadet teams from West Point Academy.
Hunt activities begin on Friday with an open shoot at the Beatrice Gun Club, followed by a dinner reception. On Saturday, participants gather for an early breakfast before traveling to area farms for the pheasant hunt. Following the hunt, teams and their pheasants are counted and photographed. After pheasant turn-in, hunters participate in a Sporting Clay Shoot and enjoy a lunch of hamburgers and brats. Sporting Clay scores are then added to the overall team totals, and winners are announced Saturday following the clay shoot.

Lighted Holiday Parade – The Beatrice Chamber of Commerce leads the annual Lighted Holiday Parade, each year it is held on the first Saturday of December.

This is an event that rewards those that choose to shop locally during the holiday season. You can register in any of the participating businesses for a chance to win prizes! The winners are announced daily from December 5th through December 20th. The winners are announced on KWBE AM 1450 and 94.7 FM so tune in to hear if you’ve won!

It’s a day full of Chocolate tasting paired with great shopping & dining opportunities in Historic Downtown Beatrice! To begin, simply register on the day of the event at our registration location, in downtown Beatrice and head out to all the great Chocolate Lovers locations!

Beatrice Wine & Beer Festival

Join Main Street Beatrice for their annual Beer and Wine Festival. 4-8 p.m.
VIP HOUR FROM 3-4 PM!
This outdoor event will be held at Envision Landscapes and Garden Center, 2115 Court Street, Beatrice, NE 68310.
Join us for an afternoon of unlimited tastings of Nebraska beer, spirits, and wine tasting at Envision Landscapes and Garden Center. With breweries, wineries, and spirits vendors, we have something for all palates and you only pay your entry fee! There will be food and snacks available for purchase at the event as well as offsale beer, wine, and spirits from vendors. This fun day is for adults only please, 21+!
