Successes to highlight from 2022
The year 2022 has shown just how great the Beatrice community is and how strong our positive momentum has been. Let’s examine our successes by the number:
- $435,000 is being distributed to selected Beatrice property owners in economic development grants from the City to leverage downtown investments.
- 26 improvement projects in downtown Beatrice over the last year, with investments totaling nearly $11 million, which includes the opening of the new Fire Station last winter.
- 180 businesses call downtown Beatrice their home.This is a net gain of 31 shops downtown since 2016!
- 2022’s New Businesses! Beatrice String Studio, Blackburn Technologies, Heart Like Mine Wedding and Event Rental, H-Esthetics, Happy Kernel, Pretty Wounds Tattoo, The Witches Blade, and Wicked Good Foods & Boutique have all chosen to make downtown Beatrice their home and we thank them!
We are so proud of these successes and hope you have found even more reasons to feel a sense of local pride. We need your help to build on these successes and continue economic recovery right here in Beatrice.
